VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Andrew Shaw and Marcus Kruger scored 9 seconds apart in the third period Saturday, rallying the Chicago Blackhawks over Vancouver 2-1.

The Blackhawks had trailed 1-0 since the first period but finally got the equalizer 4:40 into the final period when Shaw redirected a Patrick Kane shot between the pads of Roberto Luongo.

Shortly afterward, Kruger picked up a loose puck at the Vancouver blue line and broke in alone on Luongo, sending a forehand into the net.

Corey Crawford stopped 36-of-37 shots as Central Division-leading Chicago improved to 7-2-0 in its last nine games.

Ryan Kesler scored and Luongo finished with 27 saves for the Canucks, who stumbled to their sixth loss in seven contests.
