Sebastian Vettel takes pole for Brazilian Grand Prix

Nov. 23, 2013 at 1:19 PM

SAO PAULO, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Sebastian Vettel is on the pole again after Saturday's rain-delayed qualifying session for the Brazilian Grand Prix Forumla One race.

Vettel waited out a 47-minute rain delay prior to the Q3 session and turned in a qualifying lap that was more than a half second faster than Nico Rosberg of Mercedes and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.

It was the ninth pole of the season for Vettel, who has won the past eight Formula One races.

His Red Bull teammate Mark Webber claimed the No. 4 starting slot for Sunday's race in Sao Paulo.
