VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Henrik Sedin scored twice on slap shots Friday as part of an offensive outburst that gave Vancouver a 6-2 victory over Columbus.
The Canucks ended a five-game losing streak by battering Sergei Bobrovsky with five consecutive goals.
Columbus held a 1-0 lead into the final minute of the first period, but Daniel Sedin tied it with 16 seconds left in the stanza.
Vancouver then broke things open with three second-period goals that came in the span of 2:10. Zack Kassian began the surge, Henrik Sedin followed and Alexander Edler gave the Canucks a 4-1 lead.
The second goal from Henrik Sedin came 9:05 into the third period.
Roberto Luongo faced only 16 shots and stopped 14 of them to get the win. Bobrovsky made 29 saves.
The six goals equaled the most Vancouver has scored this year. The Canucks also had six in their second game of the season against Edmonton.
