LOS ANGELES, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Pau Gasol's 24 points and 10 rebounds Friday pushed the Los Angeles Lakers to a 102-95 win over Golden State.

The Lakers, with Kobe Bryant poised to return to action, won their second straight and climbed to within one victory of the breakeven mark.

They took a 12-point lead into the final quarter and fought off a late Golden State rally. Los Angeles held the Warriors to 41 percent shooting and won despite being outrebounded 50-37.

Nick Young had 21 points off the bench for the Lakers while both Jordan Farmar and Steve Blake had 14.

Golden State, which slipped into a first-place tie with the Los Angeles Clippers in the Pacific Division, was led by David Lee's 21 points.
