Nov. 23, 2013 at 12:18 AM

DALLAS, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Monta Ellis sent Dallas to a big lead Friday and the Mavericks held on to win their fourth in a row -- 103-93 over Utah.

Ellis scored 26 points while both Dirk Nowitzki and Samuel Dalembert had 18. Dalembert hit all eight of his shots from the field and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Dallas led by as many as 28 points in the first half and settled for a 58-34 advantage at the break. Utah closed within five with 4:42 to play in the fourth period, but a 3-pointer from Jose Calderon blunted the charge by the Jazz.

The Mavericks shot 50 percent from the field.

Utah, which has won just one of its first 14 games, was led by 19 points off the bench by Marvin Williams.
