NHL: Philadelphia 4, Buffalo 1

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Matt Read notched a pair of goals Thursday and the Philadelphia Flyers stayed hot with a 4-1 victory over slumping Buffalo.

Ray Emery made 29 saves for Philadelphia, which logged its fifth win in six games.

Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier also scored while Sean Couturier and Steve Downie helped out with two assists each.

Tyler Myers got the only goal for the Sabres, who fell for the eighth time in 11 games.

Ryan Miller turned aside 42-of-46 shots.
