NHL: Toronto 5, New York Islanders 2

TORONTO, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Phil Kessel scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season Tuesday, propelling the Toronto Maple Leafs over the New York Islanders 5-2.

Trevor Smith helped out with a goal and two assists and Joffrey Lupul set up three scores for the Leafs, who were coming off a 4-2 win over Buffalo Saturday.

David Clarkson and Mason Raymond each scored and Jonathan Bernier made 35 saves.

Casey Cizikas and Frans Nielsen scored for the struggling Islanders, who fell for sixth time in eight contests.

Kevin Poulin made just 19 saves for New York.
