NHL: Nashville 2, Detroit 0

DETROIT, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Marek Mazanec stopped 27 shots en route to his first career shutout Tuesday and the Nashville Predators handed Detroit a seventh straight loss, 2-0.

Shea Weber and Gabriel Bourque scored for the Preds, who were coming off a 7-2 rout of Chicago Saturday.

Jimmy Howard stopped 23 shots for the Red Wings, who extended their longest losing streak since Jan. 14-30, 1991.

Detroit's loss was also its eighth straight on home ice.
