NHL: Montreal 6, Minnesota 2

MONTREAL, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Max Pacioretty scored a natural hat trick in the second period Tuesday and the Montreal Canadiens rolled to a 6-2 rout of Minnesota.

Pacioretty, who had scored just twice his first 12 games, broke a scoreless tie with three successive goals in a 10:40 span for his second career hat trick.

Alex Galchenyuk, Michael Bournival and Daniel Briere also scored as the Canadiens won for the second time in three games.

Dany Heatley and Nino Niederreiter scored for the Wild, whose four-game winning streak was snapped.

Darcy Kuemper, recalled from Des Moines of the American Hockey League Monday, yielded the three Pacioretty goals before being lifted in the second period.

Josh Harding entered and stopped 16-of-19 shots the rest of the way.
