NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson was slapped with a one-game suspension Monday for a hit to the head of Atlanta receiver Roddy White.

Goldson was cited for a helmet-to-helmet hit on White in the Bucs' 41-28 victory over the Falcons Sunday -- his third violation of league rules this season.

He was fined $30,000 for an illegal blow to the head of a New York Jets player in Tampa Bay's first game of the year and was also assessed $100,000 the next week for a hit against New Orleans.

Goldson will miss the Bucs' upcoming game against Detroit and will be reinstated Nov. 25.

He has logged 50 tackles with a forced fumble and an interception in eight games this season.
