NBA: Portland 109, Boston 96

BOSTON, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points Friday to keep Portland's early-season hit streak going in the Trail Blazers' 109-96 win over Boston.

Portland led from start to finish while boosting its record to 7-2. The Trail Blazers have won five in a row with Friday's contest kicking off a four-game road trip.

Aldridge also had 12 rebounds while Mo Williams came off the bench to score 18 points with eight assists. Nicolas Batum also had 18 points along with five rebounds and six assists.

Boston dropped its second straight after winning four in a row. Jared Sullinger led the Celtics with 26 points in a reserve role.

Portland took charge with a 17-8 run to finish the third quarter, giving the Trail Blazers a 12-point cushion.
