NBA: Minnesota 124, Cleveland 95

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Kevin Love continued his strong start to the season with a 33-point performance Wednesday that led to Minnesota's 124-95 crushing of Cleveland.

Love, second to Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant in scoring during the early portion of the campaign, hit 10-of-16 shots from the field and made 8-of-10 from the line. He also had eight rebounds and four assists.

Minnesota opened a 14-point lead after one period and led by 23 at halftime on its way to a sixth victory in nine games.

Corey Brewer added 27 points for the Timberwolves and Ricky Rubio had 16 points to go with 16 assists.

Minnesota shot 54 percent from the field and missed just three times in 26 attempts from the foul line.

Kyrie Irving scored 20 points to lead the Cavaliers.
