VIRGINIA WATER, England, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Adam Scott took his home country's Australian PGA Championship and moves closer to Tiger Woods for the No. 1 spot in the men's world golf rankings.

Scott won the Australian PGA Championship by four strokes Sunday. It was his 24th professional title and third this year. He also won the Masters and the Barclays.

Scott has championships on five professional tours. Some of the titles are co-sanctioned and count on more than one tour. He's won 10 Times on the PGA Tour, nine on the European PGA Tour, four each on the PGA Tour of Australasia and Asian tours and once on the Sunshine Tour.

The win in Queensland Sunday pulls Scott nearly half a point closer to Woods at the top of the world golf rankings. Woods, who tied for third at the European Tour's Turkish Airlines Open, has a rankings point average of 12.26 and Scott is second at 9.25.

Victor Dubuisson won the Turkish Airlines Open, marking his first European Tour title. He moves from 108th to No. 39 in the world rankings.

Chris Kirk was the winner on the PGA Tour, taking a one-stroke victory at the McGladrey Classic in Georgia. He's 53rd this week after moving up 37 spots in the rankings
