TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Steven Stamkos scored his 12th and 13th goals of the season Thursday in boosting Tampa Bay to a 4-2 triumph over Edmonton.

The Lighting won their third in a row and have captured six out of seven. Ben Bishop made 38 saves and Stamkos, a two-time NHL goal scoring leader, continued his hot streak.

Stamkos has at least one goal in five straight games and at least one point in seven straight. His efforts Thursday lifted the Lightning's home record to 7-2.

Both of the Stamkos goals came in the first period to give Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead. Tyler Johnson added a Lightning goal in the second period and Valtteri Flippula scored into an empty net with 1:05 to play.

Devan Dubnyk stopped 22-of-25 shots in the loss.
