ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Four-time Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel reeled off a seventh straight victory Sunday, dominating the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Vettel passed Red Bull teammate and pole sitter Mark Webber on the first turn of the initial lap and kept the lead the rest of the way for his third career victory at Abu Dhabi.

He finished 30.8 seconds ahead of Webber, becoming the fourth driver in Formula One history to win seven or more consecutive grand prix in a row. The last to pull off the feat was fellow German Michael Schumacher in 2004.

Vettel, who won his latest F1 championship last week at the Indian Grand Prix, claimed his 37th career victory.

Mercedes' Nico Rosberg took third place, followed by Romain Grosjean of Lotus and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.
