SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Fred Couples completed a dominating performance at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship Sunday, carding a 2-under-par 69 en route to a six-shot win.

Couples, who led by five strokes coming into the final round of the season-ending event, finished at 17-under 267 for his ninth career Champions Tour victory.

Bernhard Langer registered a 4-under 67 for a share of second place at 11-under 273. He needed a victory to catch Charles Schwab Cup points leader Kenny Perry for the cup title.

Mark O'Meara (70) and Peter Senior (69) tied with Langer for second.

Perry (68), Rocco Mediate (68), Mark Calcavecchia (65) and Bart Bryant (70) finished knotted for fifth at minus-10.
