ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Arron Afflalo helped fuel a second-period surge Friday that sent Orlando coasting to a 110-90 victory over New Orleans.

Orlando had a one-point lead early in the second period and then closed the first half on a 29-12 run. Afflalo scored six of the first eight points in that run and finished with 30. He made 10-of-14 from the field as part of Orlando's overall 55-percent shooting performance.

Maurice Harkless added 20 points and eight rebounds for the Magic. Anthony Davis had 26 points and 17 boards for the Pelicans.

New Orleans took 22 more shots than did Orlando, but made seven fewer.
