Texans give Case Keenum nod at QB over healthy Matt Schaub

HOUSTON, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Case Keenum will get the start at quarterback over a healthy Matt Schaub in the Houston Texans' next game, Coach Gary Kubiak said Monday.

Keenum played in the Texans' 17-16 loss to Kansas City two weeks ago as the struggling Schaub sat out with an injured right ankle, throwing for 271 yards with a touchdown on 15-of-25 efficiency.

Following a bye week, Kubiak said the University of Houston product will again be behind center Sunday against Indianapolis even though Schaub -- the team's main starter for six seasons -- had recovered.

"Matt's health is fine. It's a decision based on what I saw take place last week with Case," Kubiak said.

Schaub had tossed interceptions-for-touchdowns in four consecutive games going into his last start -- a 38-13 loss to St. Louis.
