Besides Lester, Boston pitchers for the series will be Craig Breslow, Clay Buchholz, Ryan Dempster, Felix Doubront, John Lackey, Franklin Morales, Jake Peavy, Junichi Tazawa, Koji Uehara and Brandon Workman.

The infielders are first baseman Mike Napoli, second baseman Dustin Pedroia, shortstop Stephen Drew, third baseman Xander Bogaerts and Will Middlebrooks.

Boston finished the 2013 regular season with the best record in the American League at 97-65. The Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 in the best-of-five AL Division Series and the Detroit Tigers 4-2 in the AL Championship Series.
