CHICAGO, Oct. 17 (UPI) --
T.J. Oshie scored on the first St. Louis attempt of the shootout Thursday and that goal stood up to give the Blues a 3-2 win over Chicago.
It was the second meeting between St. Louis and Chicago in the young season and the Blues have won them both.
St. Louis never led in regulation, twice coming back from a one-goal deficit and advancing to 5-1 for the campaign. Chicago had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Brandon Pirri opened the scoring for the Blackhawks 7:42 into the game and St. Louis deadlocked the contest on a power-play goal by David Backes.
Chicago again moved in front in the second on Marian Hossa's third goal of the season and the Blues came back less than a minute later on a tip-in by Alexander Steen.
Jaroslav Halak picked up the victory with a 27-save performance. Corey Crawford stopped 26-of-28 shots.
