NHL: Dallas 4, Winnipeg 1

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Tyler Seguin turned in the first four-point game of his career Friday, leading Dallas to a 4-1 triumph over Winnipeg.

Seguin scored his first two goals as a member of the Stars, having been obtained in a trade with Boston after spending three years with the Bruins.

Dallas put together a three-goal first period with Seguin scoring between tallies from Alex Chiasson and Jamie Benn. Seguin scored again on the power play early in the second period.

The Stars, who are 2-1 on the season, had not played since last Saturday.

Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen stopped all 21 shots he saw before leaving the game with what the Stars said was a lower-body injury. Dan Ellis gave up a third-period goal to Blake Wheeler.
