CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- A goal by Sean Monahan with 2:43 to play in regulation Friday brought Calgary a 3-2 victory over New Jersey.

Monahan scored the game-winner by tipping in a shot by Sven Baertschi. Calgary has not suffered a regulation loss this year, having lost twice in overtime.

Joey MacDonald made 19 saves to pick up the win. Martin Brodeur stopped 26-of-29 shots in defeat and in the early going this season has yet to add to his NHL career record 669 victories.
