MLS: Philadelphia 1, D.C. United 1 (tie)

WASHINGTON, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Jack McInerney headed home a goal in second-half stoppage time Saturday, giving the playoff-hopeful Philadelphia Union a crucial 1-1 draw with D.C. United.

The Union (12-10-10) had been trailing 1-0 for nearly the entire game before Brazilian midfielder Kleberson found him with a cross that he nodded past D.C. goalkeeper Bill Hamid for the equalizer.
