The former football star and 2011 member of the NFL Hall of Fame "is no longer an employee or representative for Prime Prep Academy," the announcement, posted early Friday, read.
It follows an on-campus incident Wednesday in which Sanders, 46, was accused of assaulting an employee at the Dallas campus of the school, WFAA-TV, Dallas, reported.
School finance administrator Kevin Jefferson told Dallas police Sanders attacked him during a meeting.
Jefferson has filed a formal complaint against Sanders, the newspaper said.
Sanders admits confronting Jefferson but denies injuring him, telling WFAA-TV: "Mr. Jefferson and I got into a confrontation about the welfare of these kids, and we'll get into another one. Until you start taking care of these kids, I'm going to be on a rampage."
