DETROIT, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The Detroit Pistons announced Thursday seven-year veteran guard Rodney Stuckey would undergo surgery to repair his fractured right thumb.

No timetable was given for his return to action. The injury, team officials said, occurred when Stuckey caught the thumb in a car door.
