MONTREAL, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Carey Price turned aside 22-of-23 shots Saturday and the Montreal Canadiens used a balanced attack to defeat Philadelphia 4-1.
Price's best period was the second, when stopped all eight shots he faced, including a left-pad stop on Claude Giroux during a Flyers power-play.

Rene Bourque, Lars Eller, Brian Gionta and Brendan Gallagher each registered a goal and an assist, while Alex Galchenyuk added two assists as the Habs notched their first win of the season.
Vincent Lecavalier scored as Philadelphia dropped a second straight to start the season.
Ray Emery made 30 saves for the Flyers.
