BEIJING, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Third-seeded David Ferrer needed a third-set tiebreaker Tuesday to advance out of the first round of the China Open tennis tournament.
Ferrer took a tight 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-2) decision from Vasek Pospisil. Pospisil won two more points (94-92) over the course of the match but that was because of an advantage he built in the second set.
