MLS: New York 1, Seattle 1 (tie)

SEATTLE, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Tim Cahill scored the equalizer in the 76th minute Sunday, hoisting the first-place New York Red Bulls into a 1-1 tie with Seattle.

The Australian evened the score with a curling shot that found its way inside the far post as the Red Bulls (15-9-7) finished the weekend with a four-point lead over Sporting Kansas City atop the Eastern Conference.
