Tom Lehman grabs 1-shot lead at Pebble Beach Champions Tour stop

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif., Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Tom Lehman fired a 5-under-par 67 for the second time in two days Saturday, grabbing a one-shot lead after 36 holes of the First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.

Lehman finished the second round at 10-under-par 134 and will shoot for his eighth Champions Tour title Sunday.

He'll be challenged by Russ Cochran, who also recorded a 67 to finish the day alone in second place at minus-9.

Sharing third two shots further back were first-round leader Bernhard Langer (74) and defending champion Kirk Triplett (70).

Chien Soon Lu (67), John Cook (68), Dan Forsman (70) and Doug Garwood (71) were knotted for fifth at minus-6.
