TORONTO, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Bright Dike scored the go-ahead goal in the 67th minute Saturday and Toronto FC went on to record a 4-1 win over D.C. United.

Dike blasted home a shot off a sterling cross from Mark Bloom on the decisive tally.

Darel Russell netted a highlight-reel marker in the first half while United defender Conor Shanosky added an own-goal and Alvaro Rey scored for TFC (5-15-11), which broke an eight-game winless streak.

Jared Jeffrey scored for United (3-21-6), which was playing without stars such as Dwayne De Rosario and Chris Pontius while preparing for its upcoming U.S. Open Cup final match.
