CINCINNATI, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Neil Walker hit two of Pittsburgh's six home runs Saturday and the Pirates beat Cincinnati 8-3 to secure the home-field advantage for the wild-card playoff.

Andrew McCutchen, Pedro Alvarez, Marlon Byrd and Andrew Lambo also went deep for the Pirates, who with the victory assured themselves of hosting a one-game playoff against fellow National League wild-card winner Cincinnati.

The wild-card game, to be played Tuesday, will be first post-season contest in Pittsburgh since 1992.

Reliever Vin Mazarro (8-2) earned the decision after Bucs starter Charlie Morton was touched for three runs over 4 1/2 innings.

Bronson Arroyo (14-12) was roughed up for six runs on eight hits over 4 2/3 innings for the Reds, who dropped a second straight in a regular season-ending three-game series against their NL Central rivals.

Jay Bruce drove in two runs for Cincinnati.
