MLB: Toronto 3, Baltimore 2 (10 innings)

BALTIMORE, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Mark DeRosa delivered RBI hits in the eighth and 10th innings Tuesday, lifting Toronto over Baltimore 3-2 to eliminate the Orioles from playoff contention.

DeRosa's bloop single to right in the eighth scored Jose Reyes to forge a 2-2 tie, and his sharp single off Francisco Rodriguez (2-1) with two out in the 10th again sent home Reyes, this time with the go-ahead run.

Sergio Santos (1-1) was credited with the win for the Blue Jays, who took the opener of a three-game series.

Brian Roberts and Nate McLouth each socked a solo homer for the Orioles, who were officially knocked out of the playoff hunt with their sixth straight loss.
