FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Tom Brady hooked up with rookie Kenbrell Thompkins on a pair of touchdown passes Sunday, elevating the New England Patriots to a 23-3 win over Tampa Bay.

Brady went 25-of-36 through the air for 225 yards with one interception as the Patriots moved to 3-0 for the first time since their undefeated regular season of 2007.

Another rookie receiver, Aaron Dobson, made seven grabs for 52 yards for New England, which was playing without tight end Rob Gronkowski and veteran receiver Danny Amendola.

Tampa Bay (0-3), off to its worst start since 2009, fell as Josh Freeman was held to 19-of-41 passing efficiency, good for 236 yards with one interception.
