CHICAGO, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Andrelton Simmons smashed two homers Sunday and the Atlanta Braves downed the Chicago Cubs 5-2 after winning the National League East title.

Julio Teheran (13-8) earned the decision, yielding one run on four hits while striking out seven over six innings.

Cubs starter Edwin Jackson (8-17) took the loss, surrendering three runs on eight hits in six full innings.
