KAPOLEI, Hawaii, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Mark Wiebe, who won the first major title of his career this year, shot an under 64 Friday that put him in front after one round of the Hawaii Championship.

Wiebe captured the Senior British Open Championship two months ago and survived a blustery day at the Kapolei Golf Club to lead Mark Calcavecchia and John Cook by two shots.

Brian Henninger was alone in fourth with a 67 while those tied for fifth at 68 included Bart Bryant, Brad Faxon and Corey Pavin.

Vijay Singh made his Champions Tour debut and posted a 69. He has been eligible for the circuit since turning 50 in February.

Singh has 34 victories on the regular PGA Tour, including three major championships.
