BMW Championship final round postponed by heavy rains

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Heavy rains in suburban Chicago washed out the final round of the BMW Open Sunday, with Jim Furyk in the lead.

The round was scheduled to resume 9 a.m. EDT Monday.

Furyk and 21 other golfers atop the leaderboard never teed off in the rainy conditions at Conway Farms Sunday.

He stands at at 13-under-par 200 through 54 holes, one better than Steve Stricker.

Brandt Snedeker held third place at 11-under, followed by Zach Johnson (10-under) and Tiger Woods (9-under).
