LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Patrick Corbin worked his way out of early trouble Wednesday and received 15 hits of support in helping Arizona down the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1.

The Diamondbacks snapped a three-game losing streak and kept the Los Angeles magic number for clinching the National League West at six.

Paul Goldschmidt singled in runs in both the first and seventh innings and went 4-for-5 to highlight the Arizona offense.

Corbin (14-6) went 6 1/3 innings to get the win, but he found himself in constant difficulty in the opening innings. He left the bases loaded in the second and allowed two base runners in both the third and fourth.

He gave up the only Los Angeles run in the seventh when Yasiel Puig hit his 16th home run.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (13-6) gave up three runs on 10 hits in six innings to take the loss. Brad Ziegler needed only 11 pitches to work a perfect ninth for his 10th save.
