CARSON, Calif., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Former Galaxy star Edson Buddle buried a shot in the 75th minute Saturday, lifting the Colorado Rapids over Los Angeles 1-0.

Colorado scored after Vicente Sanchez stole the ball, moved toward the goal, eluded a defender and left the ball off for Buddle, who hit the top corner of the net.

With the win, fourth-place Colorado (11-8-9) moved with six points of Western Conference-leading Real Salt Lake.

The Galaxy (13-10-4), meanwhile, dropped from second to third following Seattle's victory over Chicago Saturday.
