MIAMI, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Ryan Zimmerman's two homers backed six scoreless innings from Tanner Roark Saturday in the Washington Nationals' 9-2 defeat of Miami.

Zimmerman connected for a two-run shot in the second inning and solo homer in the third, giving the Nationals a 3-0 lead.

Wilson Ramos added a two-run single in the third and Jayson Werth went 3-for-5 with a run scored as Washington banged out 16 hits in rebounding from a 7-0 loss in Friday's three-game series opener.
