PHOENIX, Sept. 4 (UPI) --
Pinch-hitter Adam Lind
clubbed one of four home runs for Toronto Tuesday in the Blue Jays' 10-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Lind and Edwin Encarnacion chalked up solo home runs and Rajai Davis and Moises Sierra added two-run blows for the Jays, who won for the seventh time in their last nine outings.
The loss threw additional cold water on Arizona's playoff hopes. The Diamondbacks were eight games behind Cincinnati in the wild card race.
Todd Redmond (3-2) survived to claim the victory despite allying four hits, including home runs by Adam Eaton and Didi Gregorius.
Wade Miley (9-10) took the loss after making an early departure. Miley lasted 1 2/3 innings and allowed five runs on eight hits and a pair of walks.
Toronto took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and added four more in the second, including one on Davis' homer.
