WALTHAM, Mass., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger was due in court Tuesday after he was charged with domestic abuse in a weekend incident, officials say.

A police official in Waltham, Mass., confirmed Sullinger's arrest, but details surrounding the incident were not immediately available, The Boston Globe reported.

Sullinger, 21, is a former standout at Ohio State University. The Celtics website says the power forward is 6 foot 9 and 260 pounds.
