KANSAS CITY, Kan., Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Graham Zusi's tie-breaking goal in the 88th minute Saturday lifted Sporting Kansas City over Colorado 2-1.
On the winning play, Zusi used a set-up from C.J. Sapong to launch a shot from the penalty area into the net.

Benny Feilhaber added a tally for Sporting (12-9-6), which pulled into a first-place tie with Montreal in the Eastern Conference.
Edson Buddle scored for the Rapids (10-8-9), whose nine-game unbeaten streak was ended.
