The All-Russian Athletics Federation said Anna Avdeyeva, 28, tested positive for anabolic steroids July 30 while training near Moscow, RIA Novosti reported.
The disciplinary action will prevent Avdeyeva from competing in the 2014 world indoor championships in Poland and the 2015 world athletics championships in Beijing.
She won bronze at the 2010 European contest in Barcelona.
Avdeyeva is the 25th Russian track and field athlete to be suspended for banned substances since Jan. 1, the federation said.
