CLEVELAND, Aug. 21 (UPI) --
Power forward Anthony Bennett, the top pick in this year's NBA draft after playing just one year of college ball, agreed to a contract with Cleveland Tuesday.
Terms were not announced, but The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer said the Cavaliers sewed the 20-year-old up for three years and $16.7 million.
Bennett was voted the top freshman in the Mountain West Conference last season after averaging 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The native of Canada stands 6-foot-8 and weighs in at 240 pounds.
