PARKER, Colo., Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Caroline Hedwall produced her fourth straight win Saturday and Europe swept the United States in fourball play for a dominating 10 1/2-5 1/2 Solheim Cup lead.

Hedwall teamed up with Caroline Masson and together they took their second fourball match in two days, 2 & 1 over the United States' Michelle Wie and Jessica Korda as the Europeans put a stranglehold on the event.

Meanwhile, Anna Nordqvist and Hedwall were paired in Saturday's foursomes competition when Nordqvist ended the match with a hole-in-one on the 17th hole -- thought to be the first ace in the history of the Solheim Cup -- en route to a 2 & 1 win over Morgan Pressel and Korda.

The Europeans also got a key fourball performance from rookies Charley Hull and Jodi Ewart Shadoff, who bested the American duo of Paula Creamer and Lexi Thompson 2-up.

Carlota Ciganda rebounded from an off day Friday afternoon to combine with Azahara Munoz for a 1-up fourball win over Gerina Piller and Angela Stanford, and Karine Icher's birdie putt on the 18th give her and Beatriz Recari a 2-up victory over Cristie Kerr and Pressel.
