NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Drew Brees completed 14-of-18 throws for 202 yards and a touchdown Friday in leading New Orleans to a 28-20 decision over Oakland.

The Saints, who have won both their exhibition games, recorded seven sacks and a safety while holding Oakland to 185 total yards. New Orleans is playing its first season with Rob Ryan as its defensive coordinator.

New Orleans built a 23-0 lead thanks in part to a 16-yard scoring throw from Brees to Kenny Stills. Mark Ingram scored on a 2-yard run at the end of a 58-yard drive in the first period.

Oakland's Matt Flynn went 12-for-16 for 124 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders slipped to 1-1 in exhibition action.
