MLB: Toronto 7, Seattle 2

SEATTLE, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Jose Reyes and Emilio Bonifacio both drove in two runs Tuesday in Toronto's 7-2 road win over the Seattle Mariners.

The Blue Jays ran up a 6-0 run lead after five innings and handed Mariners ace Felix Hernandez (11-5) his first loss since May 25.

Josh Johnson (2-8) came into the game nursing a 14.06 ERA over his last four starts but was solid Tuesday with five hits in five shutout innings for his first win since June 23.

Hernandez was charged with six runs – three earned – on nine hits and three walks over five innings. Hernandez gave up a solo home run to Reyes in the first inning and his defense committed four errors.

Brad Miller had a two-run triple for the Mariners, who have lost six of their last eight games.
