KITZBUHEL, Austria, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- No. 8-seed Marcel Granollers ousted two-time defending champion Robin Haase in Friday's semifinals of the bet-at-home Cup tennis tournament in Austria.

Haase picked up his first two ATP titles with victories in Kitzbuhel, Austria, in 2011 and 2012. His only other finals appearance was last week at the Swiss Open, after beating Granollers in three sets in that tournament's quarterfinals.

He had lost just one set in advancing to the semifinals in Austria before Granollers was able to hold on for a 7-6 (7-0), 3-6, 6-4 win Friday. Each player had four breaks -- the first of the tournament suffered by Granollers -- with Granollers getting three of his in the final set to advance to his sixth ATP title match.

Haase had won his last 12 matches at Kitzbuhel.

Monaco defeated seventh-seeded Albert Montanes 7-6 (7-2), 7-5 in the other semifinal. He was up 5-2 in the second set but lost his serve twice when serving for the match. He recorded his fourth break of the day for another shot at serving out the match.

Granollers is 2-1 in his career versus Monaco, but both of his wins took three sets.
