MLB: Milwaukee 3, Chicago Cubs 2 (2nd game)

CHICAGO, July 30 (UPI) -- Jeff Bianchi's two-run single in the ninth inning Tuesday rallied the Milwaukee Brewers over the Chicago Cubs 3-2 in the second game of a doubleheader.

The Cubs had grabbed a 2-1 in the seventh on a two-run double from David DeJesus, but the Brewers staged a last-chance rally against Chicago closer Kevin Gregg (2-3) in the ninth.

Juan Francisco singled to lead off the frame, but pinch-runner Norichika Aoki remained at first as Gregg retired Yuniesky Betancourt and Scooter Gennett.

Pinch-hitter Jean Segura, however, kept the game alive with an infield single and Logan Schafer drew a walk to load the bases.

Bianchi then struck a soft liner that Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro dove for. He appeared to have a play on it, but ball popped out of his glove and into left field for a two-run single.

Burke Badenhop (2-3) logged the win despite allowing two runs and Jim Henderson collected his 14th save as Milwaukee swept a doubleheader and recorded a third straight win over Chicago.
