ANAHEIM, Calif., July 24 (UPI) -- Chris Herrmann hit a grand slam in the 10th inning Tuesday in leading the Minnesota Twins past the Los Angeles Angels 10-3.

Pedro Florimon added a two-run homer in the seven-run 10th that lifted Minnesota to its sixth victory in seven games.

The outburst enabled Glen Perkins (2-0) to collect the win after blowing a save opportunity in the ninth inning. The Twins held a one-run lead in the ninth inning, but Los Angeles loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth and tied the game 3-3 on a walk to Erick Aybar.

Los Angeles lost for the sixth time in their last eight games despite solo home runs by Albert Pujols and Mark Trumbo.

Ernesto Frieri (0-2) took the loss after allowing five runs in the 10th.
